A progressive and traditional town with a very old and rich past. Milton is located 55kms from Dunedin and its livelihood through forestry, farming and wool is continuing to develop the area as they have done since the township of Milton emerged. Come and explore this past or if you’d rather explore the Milton of today, there are various walks, golf, farm/home stays, and beaches to see. See the small Toko Mouth and Bull Creek coastal settlements for truly quaint seaside living.

HISTORIC MILLS
This township has a rich history in woollen and timber mills, both of which are still productive industries in the town today. Another highlight is the Tokomairiro Presbyterian Church opened in 1889.

MILBURN LIMEWORKS
Rare fossils can be seen at the Milburn Limeworks. Information is available at the Milton Information Centre.
